The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk has a takedown stuffed.
A shot to the body from Hawk misses
and Sure counters with a left and a right that stings Hawk.
Sure misses with a takedown attempt
and Hawk connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sure leaves Hawk with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Hawk shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hawk was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hawk is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sure knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hawk tries for a kimura but Sure is defending well.
Sure is looking to reverse the position.
Hawk is looking to take a break and control but Sure is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hawk looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Sure looks to move to half guard but instead Hawk has passed into mount! Damn!

Hawk is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hawk extends the arm and Sure is forced to tap!
