The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos has taken the fight to the clinch.

Morran is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Santos can't fight it off and eventually Morran manages to take the fight to the floor. Santos looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Morran postures up and lands a big shot to Santos's brow.
Santos keeping moving, preventing Morran from controlling successfully.

Morran is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Santos has momentary wrist control but Morran slips an elbow through the middle.
Morran trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Morran is trying to ground and pound but Santos uses the momentary lack of control by Morran to regain half guard.
Santos is trying to maintain the position but Morran is very close to passing his half guard.

Morran postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Morran is looking to take a break and control but Santos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Santos wants to control but Morran postures up.

Morran has hold of Santos's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Santos tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Morran cranks the arm and Santos screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Santos, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
