PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenzo Uzukashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yagami Light (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzukashi has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenzo Uzukashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yagami Light!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Shirou Masuda and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzukashi dodges the punch combination from Light.
Uzukashi ducks right into an uppercut from Light.

Light fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Uzukashi, pushing him back against the cage.

Light's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Light circles away from the clinch attempt.
Uzukashi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Light gets a clinch.
Uzukashi is breathing heavily.

Light breaks the clinch.
Light misses with a body kick.

Light looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Light is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Light is looking for a kimura here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Light is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Uzukashi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Uzukashi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Light with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Light decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Light throws a series of punches but Uzukashi avoids them all with ease.
Light grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Uzukashi takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Light cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
