Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Young closes the distance and pushes Preuss back into the cage.
Young prevents Preuss from breaking the clinch.

Young ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Young no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Young looking for a guillotine here but Preuss defends easily.
Preuss throws an elbow that misses. Young uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Preuss's guard. Nice move by Young!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Young will probably get the nod.

Preuss is pawing at Young, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Young's nose. Young is badly hurt! Preuss pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Young tries desperately to hold on but Preuss is relentless in his assault! As Young receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Preuss away and this one is in the books!

Alexandre Preuss was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
