Baller has chosen Helicopter, made of meat! as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Paul Baller acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Nick Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul Baller!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Carter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Baller.
Baller throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.
Carter throws a lazy uppercut
and Carter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Carter throws a shot from downtown. Baller moves away and avoids it.
Baller takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Baller looks to land a combination but Carter avoids it well.
Baller pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Baller misses with a wild combination.
Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Baller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Baller shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Baller steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carter.
Carter looks to land a combination but Baller avoids it well.
Carter connects with a body shot that sends Baller's belly button to the back.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carter lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Baller backs up against the cage.


It looks like Paul Baller has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter lands with a straight right. Baller didn't see that one coming.

Carter lands a left and a right that sends Baller crashing to the canvas! Carter dives into mount looking to finish!


Baller is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Baller tries to control the position but Carter now has his back.
Baller is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him?
Baller is keeping busy.
Baller seems to have recovered his senses.
Baller trying to control the action but Carter just sinks the hooks in.
Baller rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Baller wants to improve his position but Carter is controlling well.
Baller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Nick Carter.
Carter moves out of range of the strikes.
Carter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Baller looks to throw the jab but Carter is out of range.
Baller uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Carter.
Baller looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nick Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The fighters circling - Carter throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Carter slips a straight right by Baller.
Horrible takedown by Baller or perhaps it was just good defense by Carter which made him look bad.
Baller throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Carter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Baller thinking.
Nice sprawl there from Carter as Baller shoots in.
Nick Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Baller.
Carter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Carter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Baller ducks right into an uppercut from Carter.
Baller gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Carter gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nick Carter!
An out of breath Nick Carter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
