The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatsumoto tries to clinch up.
Tatsumoto tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Takamura counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Tatsumoto connects with a nice looking jab.
Takamura avoids the head kick by Tatsumoto.
Tatsumoto uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Takamura.
Takamura tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tatsumoto was well out of range. Poor timing from Takamura.

Takamura fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tatsumoto looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Takamura is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tatsumoto.

Takamura with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tatsumoto to score with a decent uppercut.
Oh Tatsumoto is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Apollo Takamura was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
