Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roberto Colon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dirt off your Shoulers. Colon has chosen let the bodies hit the floor as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Roberto Colon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander tries to clinch up.
Alexander lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Colon circles away quickly and effectively.
Colon shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Colon swats away the attempt to clinch by Alexander.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Colon.
Colon throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Colon keeps the fight on the outside.
Colon swings away with a leg kick that misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Colon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Colon avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Alexander misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alexander tries to bum rush Colon with a series of wild strikes but Colon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Colon looks to land a right hand but Alexander moved out of range.
Colon throws a big shot that misses.
Alexander tries to close the distance and clinch up but Colon swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Colon tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Alexander swivels and escapes.

Colon darts in and clinches Alexander up against the cage.
Alexander lands with a light punch inside.

Colon keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Alexander's efforts to push away.
Colon changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Alexander fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Michael Alexander has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roberto Colon.
Alexander tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Colon lands with a shot to the body.
Alexander cracks the inside of Colon's front leg.

Colon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alexander swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Colon counters with a nice leg kick.

Colon rushes Alexander and presses him up against the cage.
Colon drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alexander jumps guard but Colon turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

A frustrated look appears on Alexander's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Alexander wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Colon tries to pull guard but Alexander forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Alexander is trying to force a seperation but Colon has the dominant position.
Alexander stops a takedown attempt from Colon.

Colon breaks from the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Alexander throws a head kick but Colon moves out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Alexander looks to land a left hand but Colon moved out of range nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Michael Alexander will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Colon moves out of range as Alexander throws a body kick.
Alexander throws a nice looking combination but Colon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Alexander blocks a leg kick.
Alexander connects with a right hand. Colon shakes it off.

Colon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Colon postures up and lands a big shot to Alexander's brow.
Colon wants to stand but Alexander is controlling his posture from full guard.

Colon is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Alexander has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Colon is looking to defend but Alexander has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Colon! Alexander pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Colon taps out and this one is all over!
