Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sugar Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Barrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barry Barrow is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sugar Boy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Barry Barrow!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Boy looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Barrow!

Barrow sneaks out the side door and pushes Boy away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Barrow takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Boy looks to clinch

and Barrow counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Barrow.

Barrow has hold of one of Boy's legs. Boy is fighting the takedown attempt but Barrow gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Barrow slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Barrow stands and steps away. Boy gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Boy tries to clinch but Barrow moves away

and Barrow counters with a takedown into side control.

Barrow stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Boy has his takedown stuffed

and Barrow counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barrow has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Barrow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Let's hope that Barrow has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Boy is looking to improve his position but Barrow isn't that keen on the idea.

Barrow controlling the position easily from mount.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Barry Barrow.
Boy tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Barrow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Boy wants to control the position but Barrow says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Barrow content to control rather than advance.

Barrow decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Boy tests Barrow's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Barrow holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Boy tries for a takedown but Barrow manages to get underhooks.
Boy jumps guard but Barrow stands there with Boy around his waist. Boy gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Boy is trying to pull guard but Barrow turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Barrow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Boy blocks a low kick nicely.

Boy avoids the head kick by Barrow.
Boy throws the kick towards the body but Barrow avoids it.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Boy checks a leg kick.

Barrow shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Boy is trying to defend but Barrow finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Barrow looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barry Barrow showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Barrow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Boy throws a sloppy head kick and Barrow moves out of range easily.

and Barrow counters by clinching up.
Barrow has had enough of the clinch but Boy keeps him there for the moment.

Barrow breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Barry Barrow is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Barrow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Boy blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Barrow tries to circle away but Boy has him pinned against the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Barry Barrow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
