The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braves throws a leg kick which misses Rutten's front leg but catches the back leg as Rutten tries to avoid it.
Jimmy Braves seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Braves moves away from the strike by Rutten.
Rutten moves out of range of the body kick from Braves.
Braves connects with a right hand. Rutten shakes it off.
Braves keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Rutten forces Braves back against the ropes and clinches.
Braves lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rutten backwards.
Braves lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rutten or not.
Rutten is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Braves lands with a short punch from the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Rutten fails to land.

Braves breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Braves lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Braves scores with a push kick.
Braves scores with a nice strike.
Braves delivers a nice body kick.
Braves throws a nice inside leg kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Braves - that will leave a mark!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Braves connects with an inside leg kick.
Braves jabs at Rutten's body.

Rutten walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Braves rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Rutten has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Braves.
Braves jabs at Rutten's body.
Braves comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Braves is stalking his opponent - BOOM! Switch kick out of nowhere! Rutten is not moving; he is out cold!! Wow, what a quick finish that was.
