Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Kimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Destroyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimble comes to the cage accompanied by Ecstasy Of Gold. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Destroyer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Kimble counters with a left to the body.
Destroyer has his takedown stuffed
and Kimble makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Destroyer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
John Kimble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Destroyer.

Destroyer wants to take the fight to the mat but Kimble manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kimble escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Destroyer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Destroyer uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kimble.

and Kimble counters with a stiff right hand.
Destroyer is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Kimble.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Some bone on bone action there as Destroyer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Joe Destroyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Destroyer shoots and misses
and Destroyer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kimble fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Destroyer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

and Kimble counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

and Kimble counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Destroyer thinking.
Destroyer takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Destroyer closes the distance and clinches up with Kimble, looking for a takedown. Destroyer pushes Kimble against the cage but Kimble circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Destroyer scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Destroyer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Kimble rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Destroyer's guard! Nice work there by Kimble!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Destroyer controlling the position.
Destroyer looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kimble is one step ahead there.
Kimble seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kimble's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kimble's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kimble looks to land a right hand but Destroyer moved out of range.
Kimble throws the left hand but Destroyer avoids the punch easily.
Kimble dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Destroyer. That did some damage!
Kimble throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joe Destroyer wasn't active enough on the ground.

so Destroyer counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Kimble is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Destroyer postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kimble is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Destroyer, into his guard.
Destroyer wants to sweep but no luck.
Kimble has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Destroyer has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Kimble has passed into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Destroyer wants to control but Kimble postures up.

Kimble is looking to take a break and control but Destroyer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kimble is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Destroyer will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Destroyer wants to control but Kimble is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Destroyer manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Destroyer has his feet on Kimble's thighs here. He's pushed Kimble off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Kimble screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
