Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Kungen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Tresh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Tresh!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left and a right from Kungen both land. Nice combination.
Tresh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kungen paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Tresh is looking to clinch.
Tresh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tresh closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kungen circles away.
Tresh wants to clinch up but Kungen keeps it at a distance.
Tresh tries for a takedown but Kungen sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Kungen counters with a lovely straight right hand!


It looks like Niko Tresh has been cut.
Kungen scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tresh doesn't seem bothered though.

This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck for Tresh with that takedown attempt.
King Kungen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niko Tresh.
Tresh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kungen pinned against the cage. Kungen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Tresh holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Kungen manages to break the clinch.
No joy there for Kungen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Tresh shoots in for a double leg but Kungen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Tresh shoots in for a takedown but Kungen shows good takedown defense.

Tresh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kungen sprawls well initially but Tresh persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Tresh wants to sweep but no luck.
Tresh pulls Kungen in close to prevent any damage.

Tresh shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kungen pinned against the cage. Kungen gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Kungen counters with a series of strikes. Tresh will be more careful next time no doubt.

Tresh tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tresh shoots in but Kungen avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Tresh fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Tresh or perhaps it was just good defense by Kungen which made him look bad.
Kungen stuffs the takedown.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tresh misses with a takedown attempt - Kungen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tresh throws a low kick, looking for Kungen's leg but Kungen calmly moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Niko Tresh's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Tresh shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kungen but Kungen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kungen stuffs the takedown.
Tresh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
King Kungen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Niko Tresh.

Kungen throws a series of punches but Tresh moves out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kungen tries to work over Tresh's front leg with a kick but Tresh checks it.
Kungen lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kungen.

Niko Tresh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kungen here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kungen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Tresh is still on wobbly legs! Can Kungen finish him?

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kungen is pressed up against the cage. Tresh has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kungen down to the mat. Kungen avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Tresh throws a series of strikes that have Kungen backpedaling.

Kungen is staying active underneath Tresh, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Tresh drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kungen gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tresh.

Tresh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kungen tries to avoid it but Tresh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kungen to the ground. Kungen escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Niko Tresh comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kungen has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
