Morgan comes to the cage accompanied by Face the Pain. Jay Marquez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Dexter Morgan's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morgan throws a series of strikes that have Marquez backpedaling.

It looks like Jay Marquez has been cut.
Morgan tries to bum rush Marquez with a series of wild strikes but Marquez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Morgan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Marquez as he jumps to the side.

Morgan has taken the fight to the clinch.

Morgan has picked Marquez up - he's going for a ride! Morgan dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Morgan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Marquez trying to control but Morgan postures up.
Marquez is pressing down on Morgan's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Morgan throwing strikes from guard but Marquez blocks nicely.

Marquez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Morgan defends well.
Marquez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Morgan's guard.
Marquez advances position into side control!

Marquez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Morgan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Marquez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Morgan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Marquez yanks on the arm and Morgan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Marquez.
