Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Dunne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jens Weber!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weber stuns Dunne with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Weber closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dunne to the mat! Dunne manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Weber throwing strikes from guard but Dunne blocks nicely.
Weber throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dunne works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Weber passes into half guard.
Weber winds up and cracks Dunne with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Weber prevents Dunne from standing back up.
Weber sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Weber looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dunne with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Weber is trying to work for a kimura but Dunne is defending well.
Dunne keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Weber is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dunne knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weber on the ground.
Weber passes to full mount!
Weber looking to finish Dunne with some ground and pound. This is bad for Dunne!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Weber landing shots from mount.
Weber wants to control the pace but Dunne is squirming around nicely.
Weber breaks from Dunne's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Dunne is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Weber landing punches.
Oh Dunne is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Weber! Dunne is hurt baaadly! Weber is firing away with more strikes - Dunne is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jens Weber!
Jens Weber was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
