Optiplex doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Carlitos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carlitos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Optiplex is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Carlitos works to advance to full mount. Optiplex defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
