Williams kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Fuel-Hemorrhage. Cruz has chosen Deja Vu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Cruz misses with a low kick.
Cruz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williams.
Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cruz circles away.
Cruz lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Williams at a distance.

and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Williams looking to sit in guard and control but Cruz gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Williams is looking to sinch up a triangle. Cruz throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Williams's body to avoid the submission. Williams has instead reached around Cruz's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Williams arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Firus Williams decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
