Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alexi Laiho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Junior Nymann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Laiho's entrance music is Children of Bodom - Follow the Reaper. A fine choice. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laiho swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nymann, as that shot connected.
Nymann drives through and clinches with Laiho against the cage.
Nymann throws a punch but it's blocked by Laiho.
Nymann is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Nymann tries to work over Laiho's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Laiho tries a knee to the head but Nymann blocks it.
Nymann doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Laiho content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Nymann takes a knee to the side of the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Laiho manages to break the clinch.
Laiho moves out of range as Nymann throws a body kick.
Nymann walks into a stiff left hand from Laiho.

Laiho blocks the body kick.
Nymann looks to throw a body kick
enabling Laiho to counter with a crisp jab.
Laiho ducks under a wild hook from Nymann.
Laiho closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Laiho tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Nymann avoids it.
Laiho unloads a knee to the mid-section. Nymann lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Nymann looks winded!
The referee is keeping an eye on Laiho - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Laiho drops down looking for an ankle pick but Nymann pulls his leg out and moves away.
Laiho lands a big uppercut and Nymann crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nymann looks OK. Laiho waves Nymann back to his feet!
Nymann is rocked!
Laiho clinches.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nymann lands a body shot.
Nymann swings wildly with an uppercut but Laiho uses good head movement to avoid it.
Nymann throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Laihos head.
Laiho with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Nymann is still on wobbly legs! Can Laiho finish him?
Laiho has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Nymann - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Laiho, and another! Nymann is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Alexi Laiho!
After the fight, Alexi Laiho was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
