The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boxman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Boxman closes the distance and clinches up with Knox, looking for a takedown. Boxman pushes Knox against the cage but Knox circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Boxman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Knox sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Boxman somewhat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shooto Boxman. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Knox counters with a nice leg kick.
Knox stuffs the takedown.
Boxman misses with a lunging right hand
letting Knox counter with a right hand.
Boxman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Knox sprawls well. Knox wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boxman gets slowly back to his feet.

and Knox counters with a good low kick that Boxman was not able to check.

Knox Throws a clean left jab. Knox Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Boxman's chin! Boxman crumbles to the ground and Knox follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Knox!

A relieved looking Johnny Knox thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
