The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Boyd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Obusan avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Boyd throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Boyd throws a big elbow that misses.
Obusan wants to get back to his feet but Boyd is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Obusan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Boyd off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Boyd is looking to clinch.
A chopping leg kick lands by Boyd.
Obusan throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Obusan waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Boyd. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Boyd to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Boyd is rocked!
It looks like Cody Boyd has been cut.

Obusan won't allow Boyd to get back to his feet.
Obusan engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Obusan prevents Boyd from getting back to his feet.
Obusan trying to control but Boyd is working from the bottom.
Boyd throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Obusan is pushing down on Boyd's leg trying to pass to half guard. Boyd is fighting to maintain full guard but Obusan has managed to sneak the leg through.
Obusan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Obusan throwing shots but Boyd is blocking nicely.
Obusan looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Obusan prevents Boyd from standing back up.

Obusan has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boyd is working to get back to half guard.
Boyd is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Obusan takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Obusan looking to secure an arm triangle but Boyd defends it well.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Obusan get's back to his feet.
Boyd shoots in looking for a takedown but Obusan manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Boyd's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Boyd leaves Obusan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Boyd fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Obusan sprawls well initially but Boyd persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Obusan tries to kick Boyd off but Boyd keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Boyd tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Obusan makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Nice takedown defense from Obusan. No joy for Boyd on that attempt.
Obusan lands a jab to the nose.
Boyd looks for a takedown but Obusan sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cody Boyd. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Obusan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Boyd sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boyd misses with a double jab
and Obusan counters with a huge left! Boyd is in big trouble! He's backing up but Obusan isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Boyd from any more damage. A dominating finish by Obusan!
