Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alvin Magnusson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by system of a down - violent pornography. The key to victory for Rickson Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magnusson moves out of range of the strikes.
Magnusson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Silva sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Magnusson somewhat.
Rickson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Magnusson shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Magnusson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Silva here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rickson Silva will probably get the nod.
