Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tasos Ieronymakis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leather Slammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tasos Ieronymakis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ieronymakis as Slammer shoots in.
Ieronymakis's jab looks to have found its range, popping Slammer under the eye.
Slammer shoots in for a takedown but Ieronymakis shows good takedown defense.
Slammer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Ieronymakis makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

This has been an exciting period of action!

A jab-cross combination lands for Ieronymakis and sends Slammer crashing to the mat! Ieronymakis follows him down to the mat - Slammer regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Slammer tries to lock up and control but Ieronymakis gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Ieronymakis manages to capitalize on a mistake by Slammer to take his back!

Slammer takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Slammer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Slammer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Slammer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ieronymakis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Slammer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Ieronymakis rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Slammer's guard! Nice work there by Ieronymakis!

Slammer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ieronymakis haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's time! Ieronymakis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

A head kick from Ieronymakis lands but Slammer takes it in his stride.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ieronymakis, as that shot connected.
No joy there for Ieronymakis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ieronymakis buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Slammer fails with the takedown
and Ieronymakis counters with a low kick, right behind Slammer 's knee.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ieronymakis connects with a good right hand that stumbles Slammer. Slammer circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Slammer looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ieronymakis is fending him off so far but Slammer persists. Nope, Ieronymakis circles away and we're back to standing.

Ieronymakis catches Slammer napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Slammer to the canvas!

Slammer is rocked!
Ieronymakis controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Slammer is still in real trouble! Can Ieronymakis finish him?
Slammer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Ieronymakis passes Slammer's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Slammer seems to have recovered his senses.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Slammer is not content to let Ieronymakis control the position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ieronymakis in particular looking to stall.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tasos Ieronymakis just wasn't active enough.
Slammer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Tasos Ieronymakis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leather Slammer.
Ieronymakis stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Ieronymakis moves out of range of the body kick from Slammer.
Ieronymakis throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Slammer's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Ieronymakis dives in looking to finish as Slammer flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Ieronymakis's strikes! Ieronymakis is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Slammer's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Slammer was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.

After winning the bout, Tasos Ieronymakis thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
