The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardone is looking to clinch but Martin is avoiding it.
Martin manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cardone on his heels. He'll look to pass Cardone's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Cardone controls Martin momentarily but Martin frees himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Cardone fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cardone looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cardone decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Martin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Cardone's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Cardone's back!

Cardone cracks Martin with a solid left hand.

Cardone distracts Martin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Cardone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Martin to the ground. Cardone is now in Martin's guard.

Martin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cardone is controlling him.
Martin seems keen to control Cardone's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin is trying to push Cardone off with his feet but Cardone grabs hold of one of the legs and drops back looking for a submission! He's cranking on one of Martin's ankles and Martin is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaall over!
