Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Warne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chuck Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tom Warne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chuck Norris!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warne changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Norris tries to avoid it but Warne manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Norris to the ground. Norris escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Warne will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Warne fails with the takedown.
Norris fails in his attempt to clinch.

Norris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Warne taking a breather.
Warne has had enough of the clinch but Norris keeps him there for the moment.
Norris misses with a knee strike.

Norris successfully pulls guard.
Norris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Norris looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warne is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Norris is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Norris can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Warne is looking to escape.

Warne tries to lock up and control but Norris gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Norris lands a big shot there that rocks Warne but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Warne is desperately trying to improve his position but Norris has a good base and remains in mount.

Norris has control of Warne's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Warne regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Norris is working for a guillotine from mount but Warne frees his head quite easily.
Warne is squirming around, avoiding Norris's attempts to control the action.

Norris jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Warne manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Warne is trying to control Norris's posture but Norris avoids it.
Warne gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Warne is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Norris postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Warne to stand up.
Norris shoots for a takedown but Warne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Warne dodges the punch combination from Norris.
Norris swinging wildly here.
Norris is looking to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Warne looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Warne misses with a wild body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Warne shoots in for a double leg but Norris sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Warne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Norris swivels and escapes.
Norris scores with a push kick.
Norris tries to close the distance and clinch but Warne swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Norris closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Warne gets underhooks to prevent Norris's takedown attempt.

Norris has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Warne clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Warne breaks Norris's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warne looking to sit in guard and control but Norris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Chuck Norris has got the better of the ground game so far.
Warne wants to sweep here but Norris controlling him for the moment.
Norris advances to half guard.
Norris is nestled in close to Warne, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Norris prevents Warne from improving his position.

Norris wants to take a breather but Warne is having none of it.
Norris content to control rather than advance.
Norris tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Norris tries to pass the half guard into mount. Warne knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Warne is looking to control Norris's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Warne avoid being mounted?

OK we're going to have a standup here. Chuck Norris hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Warne dives in and grabs Norris's left leg, looking for a takedown. Norris pushes down on Warne's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tom Warne. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Norris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Warne will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Norris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Warne tries a head kick but it misses.
Warne shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Norris defends it nicely.
Norris fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Norris tries for a takedown but Warne sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Tom Warne has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chuck Norris.

Warne stuffs the takedown attempt from Norris. Norris gets slowly back to his feet.
Norris lands a slapping body shot.

Norris breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Norris takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Warne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Norris wants to clinch up but Warne keeps it at a distance.
Warne shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Norris but Norris pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Warne misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Warne tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Tom Warne is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Norris pushes Warne up against the cage in a clinch.

Norris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Norris throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Norris escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Norris shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Warne but Warne pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Warne tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Norris paws at him with a jab and circles away.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Warne takes a kick to the side of the head.

and Norris counters with a takedown into side control.
Warne wants to control but Norris postures up.
Warne regains half guard there - taking advantage of Norris's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Norris wants to work for an arm triangle but Warne is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Warne holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Warne makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Warne.
Warne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Norris is controlling him.
Norris works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Norris trying to control the action but Warne is working from the bottom.
Norris wants to pass the guard but Warne is defending well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chuck Norris comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Norris has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
