Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Pattis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeMario Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Pattis!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, DeMario Williams!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pattis misses with a takedown attempt

and Williams holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Williams doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Williams displaying some good clinch control by pressing Pattis up against the cage.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Pattis blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Williams has clasped his hands together around Pattis's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Williams remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Williams's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Pattis can't do much from the bottom here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

DeMario Williams has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard.

Pattis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Pattis is looking to stand up but Williams isn't so interested in that idea.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

so Williams counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Williams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Pattis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Williams is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Pattis is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Williams is aware though and is defending well.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
