Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ernesto Hoost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Alverez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ernesto Hoost!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francisco Alverez!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alverez doesn't manage to clinch there - Hoost circles away.
Alverez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Hoost throws a right and a left that both miss.
Hoost is looking to score with low kicks.
Hoost throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Alverez checks a leg kick nicely.
Hoost tries to clinch but Alverez is having none of it.
Hoost throws a chopping leg kick but Alverez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Alverez shoots in but Hoost avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Some bone on bone action there as Alverez checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Hoost tries to clinch but Alverez is having none of it.

Alverez shoots for a takedown but Hoost saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Hoost connects with a leg kick. Alverez looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Alverez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Hoost did well to prevent Alverez getting side control.

Hoost will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Hoost fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Alverez checks it well.

Hoost looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Alverez is avoiding damage well.

I wouldn't like to be where Alverez is right now.

That was a close round but I would say that Ernesto Hoost will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Alverez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hoost lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Alverez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Alverez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

A nice inside leg kick there by Hoost. That's going to slow Alverez down.

Alverez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hoost but Hoost pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hoost walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Alverez checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Alverez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ernesto Hoost will probably get the nod.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Alverez shoots in looking for a takedown. Hoost tries to sprawl out of it but Alverez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hoost manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Hoost, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
