Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by No escape. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, John Smith!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith scoring well with a low kick there.
Anderson has a takedown stuffed.

Smith shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Anderson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Anderson wants to stand and escape but Smith is having none of it.
Smith wants to stand but Anderson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Smith drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Anderson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Smith has Anderson in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Anderson wants to pass the guard but Smith is keeping the position.

Anderson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Smith wasn't active enough on the ground.
Anderson wants to clinch.

Anderson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Smith to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Smith gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Smith fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Smith persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Smith takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Smith is pressing down on Anderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Anderson is holding on for now.
Smith is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. John Smith wasn't active enough on the ground.

Smith shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Anderson is trying to defend but Smith finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Anderson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Smith walks away with a smile on his face. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith dives in and scores a takedown into Anderson's guard.

Anderson is working an open guard so Smith takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Smith throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Anderson.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Smith closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
John Smith is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Smith is staying tight to Anderson's torso, preventing him from escaping.

John Smith comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Smith has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
