The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Souza has a takedown stuffed.
Banailin feints a jab promting Da Souza to slip. Banailin then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Da Souza slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Banailin lands a high kick to the side of Da Souza's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Banailin dives into guard, looking to finish.

It looks like Ribair Da Souza has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Da Souza ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Da Souza no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Banailin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da Souza. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
