The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgel misses with a few strikes there.
Pending drops his hands momentarily and Jurgel takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Jurgel throws a nice looking combination but Pending bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jurgel darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jurgel getting the better of the striking in that exchange.

Jurgel changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Pending looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Pending trying to remain calm as Jurgel controls from the top position.
Jurgel's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Jurgel seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Pending is holding on tight.
Jurgel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
