The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanovski throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mainwaring's waist but Mainwaring gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ivanovski off to one side.
Ivanovski is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mainwaring sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Ivanovski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mainwaring as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Henri Ivanovski. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ivanovski dives in and grabs Mainwaring's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mainwaring pushes down on Ivanovski's head and hops out.
Ivanovski shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mainwaring as he jumps to the side.

Mainwaring closes the distance and pushes Ivanovski back into the cage.

Ivanovski has hold of Mainwaring's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Mainwaring seems comfortable defending it but Ivanovski has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Mainwaring is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Mainwaring is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ivanovski couldn't care less - he's delighted!
