Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Steve Montenegro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mirko circles away.
Torres feints and as Mirko raises his hands in defense, Torres changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Torres scoring with punches to the head and body.
Torres stands up from Mirko's guard - Torres perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mirko tries for a takedown but Torres sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

and Torres counters by moving into the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Mirko.
Mirko wants to break the clinch but can't.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Torres ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Torres no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Torres throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Mirko trying to control the position from guard on top but Torres is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Torres wants to stand up but Mirko is controlling him.
Torres looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Mirko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Torres on the ground.
Mirko wants to stand but Torres has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Torres wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Mirko is now in half guard.
Torres wants to control but Mirko is keeping busy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mirko wants to take a breather but Torres is having none of it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Torres manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Torres is looking for a triangle but Mirko pushes his legs off easily.

Torres lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mirko!
Mirko is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres wants to finish this one by submission but Mirko is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Torres.

Mirko defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Torres.
Mirko is in a horrible position here. Torres smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Mirko gets back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Torres slips a nice elbow through Mirko's hands, connecting with Mirko's forehead.
Torres has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Torres postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mirko looks a forlorn figure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Torres closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mirko did well to prevent Torres getting side control.

Mirko is squirming around, avoiding Torres's attempts to control the action.
Mirko wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Torres. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
I would not like to be Mirko right now.
Mirko tries to escape the position.
Torres has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mirko! Can he survive? No! He's out! Torres gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
