The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marella shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Faust but Faust pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Marella shoots in looking for a takedown but Faust manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Marella's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Marella moves away from the strike by Faust.
Faust throws a hook but Marella blocks it.
Faust throws a jab when Marella was well out of range.
Marella is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Marella has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Faust missing with a left hand there. Marella was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Marella shoots in looking for a takedown. Faust tries to sprawl out of it but Marella keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faust manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jean Francois Faust has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Antonio Marella.
Faust digs a good body shot into Marella's ribs.
Marella shoots for a takedown but Faust saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Faust pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Marella fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Faust avoids it really well and circles away.
Faust loads up on a big right hand but Marella slips the punch.
Marella seems to have recovered his senses.
Faust throws a hook to the side of Marella's head but Marella sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Faust closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Faust breaks the clinch.
Marella fails with a takedown attempt.

Faust rushes Marella and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Faust lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Faust.
Faust scores with a nice hook to the head.
Faust blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Faust gets through Marella's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Faust creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Marella with a big uppercut! Marella tries to clinch up but Faust pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Marella to the mat! Marella covers up and Faust unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
