Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Get Some by Chevelle. Carter comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Red Hot Chili Peppers- Around the World kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Carter takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva stands up out of Carter's guard for a moment - Carter manages to land a nice upkick.
Carter has a closed guard, preventing Silva from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Silva decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carter, up you get!

Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Carter circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carter was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Carter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
