Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raijin Kage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauricio Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez has chosen World Destruction as his entrance music. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kage plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Mauricio Melendez has been cut.
Kage throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

No joy there for Kage, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kage tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Melendez takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Melendez is rocked!
Kage misses with an uppercut. Melendez saw that one coming.
Melendez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kage throws a lazy uppercut
and Melendez counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Kage!
Kage can't do much from the bottom here.

Kage is trying to get back to half guard.
Kage avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Melendez.
Kage is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Melendez off and has taken his back!

Kage is looking for a rear naked choke here but Melendez reverses the position brilliantly into Kage's guard!
Kage utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kage looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kage is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Melendez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Melendez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kage is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kage might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kage is trying to control but can't.
Kage is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Melendez pulls his head out easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kage tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Kage throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Melendez is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!
