The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torres throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Daniels tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Torres is in Daniels's guard.
Torres is stalling in the full guard.

Daniels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Torres tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Daniels paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Torres creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Daniels has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Torres uses from the top position.

Torres is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Daniels lands a big shot there that rocks Torres but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Daniels postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Torres in real trouble here! The ref calls for Torres to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
