Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edwards kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Feiticeira. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nukem tries to clinch up but Edwards circles away and keeps his distance.
Nukem showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Edwards.
Edwards lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Nukem throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Edwards swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Edwards throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Nukem misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Edwards connects with a body shot that sends Nukem's belly button to the back.
Edwards tries a low kick but Nukem avoids it.
Nukem slips a jab and a cross from Edwards.
Duke Nukem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Edwards feints and then cracks Nukem's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nukem down.

Nukem darts in and clinches Edwards up against the cage.
Edwards wants to break free but Nukem has control.

Edwards throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Nukem on the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nukem looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

and Edwards counters with a series of strikes. Nukem will be more careful next time no doubt.

Edwards tries to bum rush Nukem with a series of wild strikes but Nukem uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nukem is trying desperately to land a takedown but Edwards is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Nukem.
Edwards lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nukem circles away quickly and effectively.
Edwards lands with a nice combination. Nukem backs away looking to recover.
Edwards looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Nukem throws a nice looking combination but Edwards bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Nukem has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nukem there as he acknowledges the shot.
Edwards scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Edwards is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Nukem like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Nukem from another fist facial!
