The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lilburne throws a half hearted mid kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Afolabi.
Lilburne throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Afolabi counters with a solid body kick.
Afolabi scores with a kick to the body.
A big left from Lilburne misses.
Lilburne throws a right hand that misses
and Afolabi counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
A slapping body kick lands there for Afolabi.
Afolabi connects with a jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Afolabi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Afolabi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lilburne tries to land a front kick but Afolabi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
John Lilburne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lilburne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Afolabi manages to avoid it.
Afolabi fails to land with a series of punches.
Lilburne misses with a leg kick
and Afolabi counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Lilburne is trying to push Afolabi away but Afolabi has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
Afolabi manages to break the clinch.
Afolabi tries a head kick but it misses.
Afolabi throws a head kick that half lands.
Lilburne throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Afolabi counters with a low kick, right behind Lilburne 's knee.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Lilburne.
Lilburne slips a jab and a cross from Afolabi.
Lilburne scores with a sloppy right hand. Afolabi should have avoided that one.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Lilburne.
Afolabi moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Lilburne misses with a kick to the body.
Afolabi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Lilburne's calf.
A lazy body kick from Lilburne
and Afolabi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A telegraphed right hand from Lilburne misses the target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lilburne misses with a few strikes there.
Lilburne doesn't manage to clinch there - Afolabi circles away.
Afolabi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lilburne scores with a nice body kick.
Afolabi plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Lilburne swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Lilburne face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
