Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roman Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stevie Gonzales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski comes to the cage accompanied by Reptile Theme. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Stevie Gonzales!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Gonzales's half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Kowalski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gonzales looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gonzales looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gonzales!

Kowalski wants to control but Gonzales is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gonzales looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Kowalski manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Gonzales perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


A shot to the liver by Kowalski. Beautiful body shot.
Gonzales gets cracked there but stands up to it.


It looks like Stevie Gonzales has been cut.
Kowalski misses with a kick to the body.
Roman Kowalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kowalski moves forwards but Gonzales connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Gonzales uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kowalski.
Kowalski is looking to clinch.
Kowalski looks to land a right hand but Gonzales moved out of range.
Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt - Gonzales sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kowalski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Kowalski throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Kowalski rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gonzales cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Kowalski scores with a nice head shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kowalski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gonzales tries to clinch but Kowalski is having none of it.

Kowalski throws a right and a left that Gonzales avoids nicely.

Kowalski darts in and clinches Gonzales up against the cage.

Gonzales lands a nice uppercut.
Kowalski jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gonzales walks away with a smile on his face. Kowalski gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Gonzales makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Gonzales counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Gonzales lands a nice looking body shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gonzales digs a good body shot into Kowalski's ribs.
Stevie Gonzales seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Gonzales lands a big right hand that sends Kowalski crashing to the mat! Gonzales stays standing though and waves Kowalski back to his feet!


It looks like Roman Kowalski has been cut.
Kowalski drops his hands momentarily. Gonzales doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Kowalski staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Kowalski doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Stevie Gonzales!
In his post fight interview, Stevie Gonzales started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
