The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verchanko ducks under a wild hook from Jameson.

Jameson throws a leg kick which misses Verchanko's front leg but catches the back leg as Verchanko tries to avoid it.

Verchanko has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jameson finds it's way round the side to connect with Verchanko's head.

James Jameson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jameson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Verchanko throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Verchanko counters with a series of strikes. Jameson will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Jameson pounces like a tiger and cracks Verchanko with a vicious hook! Verchanko is down but not out! Jameson follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
