The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Asher instigates a clinch.

Asher tightens his grip and picks Open up, before dumping him to the ground. Open manages to land in guard.
Asher is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Open not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Asher scoring with some ground and pound.
Asher pushes down on Open's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Asher is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Open knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Asher on the ground.
Asher's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Open has hold of Asher's hands but Asher slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Asher slows the pace down in half guard.
Asher seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
