The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bearer gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ribeiro stopping the sweep attempt from Bearer.
Ribeiro is looking to work some ground and pound but Bearer has wrist control.
Ribeiro stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bearer swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ribeiro trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Ribeiro postures up in Bearer's guard and throws a big left but Bearer blocks it.
Bearer has momentary wrist control but Ribeiro slips an elbow through the middle.

Ribeiro looking to sit in guard and control but Bearer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bearer wants to control from the top but Ribeiro keeps moving.

Bearer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ribeiro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bearer has managed to get both his arms back between Ribeiro's legs - danger averted.

Ribeiro looking for a guillotine here but Bearer defends easily.
Bearer tries to free his leg and advance position but Ribeiro is retaining full guard.
Bearer has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ribeiro is proving hard to escape from.

Bearer walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

It looks like Paul Bearer has been cut.

Ribeiro has Bearer up against the cage in a clinch.

Bearer manages to break the clinch.
Bearer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ribeiro circles away quickly and effectively.
Bearer misses with a hook. Ribeiro ducked under it nicely.
Ribeiro is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Marcelo Ribeiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bearer throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bearer throws a series of punches but Ribeiro moves out of range.
Bearer throws a shot from downtown. Ribeiro moves away and avoids it.

Ribeiro drops Bearer with a beautiful combination! Bearer stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Ribeiro is looking for the KO!

Oh Bearer is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ribeiro tries to clinch up.
Bearer seems to have got his legs back now.
Ribeiro connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Bearer to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Ribeiro!
