Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolf West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ty Coon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wolf West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ty Coon!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Skip Squint and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West wants to clinch up but Coon keeps it at a distance.
Coon tries to clinch but fails miserably
and West counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Coon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Coon lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as West backs up against the cage.
It looks like Wolf West has been cut.
West thows a body shot but no joy.
West throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
West lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
West misses with a hook. Coon ducked under it nicely.
Coon tries to bum rush West with a series of wild strikes but West uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Coon steps to the side to avoid the strikes from West.
Coon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but West paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Coon tries to score a power double leg takedown but West sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Coon somewhat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Coon looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
West scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
West throws a series of punches but Coon avoids them all with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Coon takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
West swings widly with a right hand
and Coon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
West digs a good hook to Coon's body.
Coon throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
West tries to bum rush Coon with a series of wild strikes but Coon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Coon gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Coon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by West.
Coon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from West.
West punishes Coon's body with a nice straight punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Coon fails with a takedown attempt.
West thuds a left hand into Coon's body.
Coon slips a straight right by West.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
West stuns Coon with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Coon looks winded!
West throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
West misses with an uppercut
and Coon counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Coon blocks an uppercut.
Coon blocking some punches.
West scores with a shot to the side of Coon's head.
Coon tries to pull guard but West holds him up against the cage and eventually Coon drops back down to his feet.
Wolf West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ty Coon.

West presses Coon against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Coon tries to circle away but West has him pinned against the cage.
West will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Coon up against the cage.
West lands with a short head shot on the inside.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
West lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Coon is looking for a takedown.
West breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
West throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Coon.
West throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Coon's jaw, knocking him onto his back! West dives in looking to finish as Coon flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block West's strikes! West is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Coon's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Coon was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wolf West!
In his post fight interview, Wolf West gave a big smile as he said 'Fuck with the WEST get your ass laid to REST '.
