Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Max Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny LaRusso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes to the cage accompanied by Max is coming, better be ready.... The crowd seem to be enjoying LaRusso's choice of entrance music: You're The Best!. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 34 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Power!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny LaRusso!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
A looping hook to the body misses from LaRusso. Power does a little dance to reset his feet.
LaRusso thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Power if he has to take too many more of those.
LaRusso feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Powers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
LaRusso moves out of range of the leg kick from Power.

Power looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
LaRusso wants to control but Power is keeping busy and won't allow it.
LaRusso is trying to get back to full guard.
Power tries to pass to full mount but LaRusso defends it.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
LaRusso controlling the position for now.

Power is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Power is just content to waste time from the top position. LaRusso takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

LaRusso has control of Power's left arm, preventing Power from doing any damage.
Power works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Power looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
LaRusso tries to roll over but Power keeps him under control.

Power wants to lay and pray for a moment but LaRusso keeps working.
LaRusso is looking to improve his position.
Power is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and LaRusso reverses the position - he's now on top in Power's guard.
Power is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Power controls LaRusso momentarily but LaRusso frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johnny LaRusso was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Power shoots in for a double leg but LaRusso sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Power lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and LaRusso has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from LaRusso and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Power throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent LaRusso stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Power shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says LaRusso as he avoids it easily.
Johnny LaRusso is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
LaRusso misses with a wild combination.
LaRusso slips under a jab.
Power waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract LaRusso.
LaRusso throws out a leg kick but Power moves out of range and LaRusso only half commits.
LaRusso throws a head kick that misses.
Power works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

LaRusso takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
LaRusso dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Power scores with a body shot.
That kick from Power tenderised LaRusso's leg. LaRusso is trying to keep his angry face on.

Power ducks down and throws a hook to the body but LaRusso moves away.

Power uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by LaRusso.

Power throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Power fakes high and swings low for a body shot but LaRusso manages to avoid it.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Max Power will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

LaRusso is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Power rather than just go for the knockout.
