And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kwiecinski counters with a stiff right hand.


It looks like Albert Fish has been cut.

Fish closes the distance and clinches.
Fish throws a punch but it's blocked by Kwiecinski.
Fish can't get the takedown.
Fish misses with a punch on the inside.
Kwiecinski misses with a knee strike.
Kwiecinski unloads a knee to the mid-section. Fish lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Fish landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Kwiecinski is trying to force a seperation but Fish has the dominant position.

Kwiecinski manages to break the clinch.
Fish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kwiecinski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Kwiecinski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fish fails in his attempt to clinch.
Fish throws a combination that misses
and Kwiecinski counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
January Kwiecinski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Fish takes a head kick and keeps coming.
A slow jab from Fish misses its intended target.
Kwiecinski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fish takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Kwiecinski ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kwiecinski scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fish swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kwiecinski moves out of range as Fish strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fish loads up on a big right hand but Kwiecinski slips the punch.
Fish tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kwiecinski swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fish looks to score with a jab to the body but Kwiecinski is just out of range.
Kwiecinski swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fish.


That has opened up Albert Fish's cut even more.
Fish wants to clinch up but Kwiecinski keeps it at a distance.
Kwiecinski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Fish.
Fish takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kwiecinski throws out a powerful jab.
Kwiecinski swinging wildly here.
Kwiecinski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Kwiecinski lands with a right hand.


The cut above Albert Fish's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fish tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Kwiecinski counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kwiecinski throws a combination. Fish tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Kwiecinski misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fish throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fish shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kwiecinski as he avoids it easily.
Fish thows a body shot but no joy.
Kwiecinski scores with a nice head shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fish takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.


Fish is rocked!


Albert Fish's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Kwiecinski connects with a nice cross there... Fish is looking wobbly and Kwiecinski recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Fish to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Kwiecinski jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). January Kwiecinski!
During a confident post fight interview, January Kwiecinski thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
