Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Quentin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pork Chop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sam Quentin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pork Chop!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Chop.
Quentin takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Chop displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quentin throws out the jab.
Quentin lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Chop at a distance.
Quentin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Chop lands with a good body shot.

Chop scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Chop is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Chop tries to advance to mount but Quentin denies him.
Chop creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Quentin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Chop fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Chop tries to advance to mount but can't.
Quentin is looking for a sweep.

Chop is looking to take a break and control but Quentin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Quentin parries the strikes from Chop easily there. Chop is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Quentin to escape.
Chop has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Quentin is not content to let Chop control the position.
Quentin regains half guard.
Chop perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Quentin tries to roll over but Chop keeps him under control.
Quentin is trying is best to control the position here.

Chop throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Quentin is trying to get back to full guard.
Still in half guard, Chop seems content to control.
Chop thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Quentin's head.
Chop wants to pass to mount but Quentin is defending the position.
Quentin has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Chop is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Quentin tests Chop's chin there with a solid looking shot.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quentin just misses with a punch to the body.

Chop keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Chop staying out of range there.
Chop throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chop lands a slapping body shot.
Quentin scores with a hook to the body. Chop takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Chop throws a body punch but Quentin moves out of range.
Chop changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Quentin misses the jab.
Chop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Quentin as he avoids it easily.
Quentin walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Chop is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Quentin rather than just go for the knockout.
Quentin tries to clinch there but Chop circles away.

Chop closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Quentin did well to prevent Chop getting side control.
Chop thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Quentin holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Chop not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Chop tries to pass to full mount but Quentin defends it.
Chop is keen to just control but Quentin is a slippery customer.
Quentin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Quentin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Quentin tries to get out of the position.
Chop postures up in Quentin's guard and throws a big left but Quentin blocks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chop forces his way into half guard.
Chop performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pork Chop dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Chop attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Quentin throws a shot from downtown. Chop moves away and avoids it.
Quentin tries to clinch there but Chop circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chop.
Chop ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Chop digs a good body shot into Quentin's ribs.
Chop throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Quentin throws a body punch but Chop moves out of range.
Quentin misses with a looping right.
Chop lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Quentin fails with a takedown attempt.
Chop tries to move into range but Quentin moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Quentin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Quentin fails to land with a series of punches.

Chop closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Quentin quickly recovers to half guard.
Chop trying to control from half guard but Quentin is working away.
Chop wants to free his trapped foot but Quentin is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quentin is trying to maintain the position but Chop is very close to passing his half guard.
Chop prevents Quentin from improving his position.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chop in particular looking to stall.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pork Chop wasn't active enough on the ground.
Quentin throws a hook to the side of Chop's head but Chop sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A left and a right from Chop both land. Nice combination.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Quentin throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Quentin takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chop misses with a wild body shot.
Chop lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Quentin circles away quickly and effectively.

and Chop counters by clinching up.
Quentin lands a hook that snaps the head of Chop backwards.
Quentin throws a punch but it's blocked by Chop.
Quentin lands a left hand.
Chop cracks Quentin with a nice body shot.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Chop misses with a hook from the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Quentin fails to land.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Chop gets through Quentin's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Chop has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Quentin softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Chop misses with a short punch on the inside.
Chop throws a punch but it's blocked by Quentin.
Quentin throws a punch but it's blocked by Chop.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Quentin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chop is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Quentin is defending well for now.
Quentin lands a shot to the body.
Good body shot from Chop.
Quentin misses with the head strike.
Chop has Quentin pushed against the cage.
Quentin's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Chop goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Quentin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Chop lands on the inside with an uppercut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Quentin.
Quentin misses with the head strike.
Quentin lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Chop.
Quentin has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Pork Chop seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Chop manages to break the clinch.
Chop lands a jab to Quentin's midsection.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Chop shoots in and bounces Quentin off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Quentin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pork Chop showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Chop looks to score with a jab to the body but Quentin is just out of range.
Chop fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Quentin avoids it really well and circles away.
Quentin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Chop feints a jab promting Quentin to slip. Chop then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Quentin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Chop avoids the body shot from Quentin.
Chop throws a right hand that Quentin ducks under and follows up with a left that Quentin also avoids with ease.
Quentin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Chop doesn't seem bothered though.
Quentin walks into a jab.
Chop lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Quentin fails with a takedown attempt.
Quentin slips a straight right by Chop.

Quentin throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Chop counters with a takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Chop wants to control but Quentin is keeping him busy.
Chop scoring with punches and elbows.
Chop trying to control the position but Quentin is working away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sam Quentin has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Quentin wants to control but Chop postures up.
Chop tries to advance to mount but Quentin denies him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Chop cracks Quentin with a big elbow.
Quentin tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
Chop with the ground and pound from mount.
Chop pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Chop has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Quentin's face.

Chop is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Quentin has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Quentin taking shots to the head.
Chop prevents Quentin from getting the reversal.
Chop lands with some strikes.
Chop tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Quentin takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Chop's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pork Chop!
