Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Mifsud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheikh Hasina Wazed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wazed has chosen Mercedes Sosa - Como la Cigarra as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Michael Mifsud has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Michael Mifsud seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sheikh Hasina Wazed!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mifsud scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Mifsud lands a nice looking kick to the body. Wazed takes a step back to recover.
The fighters circling - Mifsud throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Wazed fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Wazed takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mifsud connects with a right hand. Wazed shakes it off.
Mifsud misses with a series of wild punches.
Mifsud swings for the body but Wazed moves out of range.
Mifsud stuffs the takedown attempt from Wazed. Wazed gets slowly back to his feet.
Michael Mifsud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sheikh Hasina Wazed.
Wazed is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mifsud sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Mifsud thumps Wazed with a low kick.

Good leg kick by Mifsud there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mifsud throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Mifsud just misses with a punch to the body.
Mifsud tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mifsud walks into a straight right hand from Wazed.
Wazed takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wazed is still on wobbly legs! Can Mifsud finish him?
Mifsud feints and then cracks Wazed's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Wazed down.
Mifsud throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mifsud finds Wazed's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Wazed flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Mifsud lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Wazed will be OK.
