PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pee Wee Herman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yhiro Zabu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Herman comes into the arena with I Jerk Off In Theatres blaring out of the sound system. Yhiro Zabu will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zabu throws a body punch but Herman moves out of range.
Herman throws a right and a left that Zabu avoids nicely.
Zabu ducks under a wild hook from Herman.
Herman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zabu as he avoids it easily.
Herman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zabu tries to clinch but Herman moves out of range.
Zabu defending well as Herman loads up on a big left hand.
Herman keeps the fight on the outside.
Herman missing with a left hand there. Zabu was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Zabu moves into range and clinches up with Herman.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Zabu just misses with a elbow thrown towards Herman's brow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zabu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Herman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Zabu. Zabu obviously looking to wear him down.
Herman shoots for a double leg takedown but Zabu sprawls well. He's pushed Herman's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Herman misses the shot to the body.
Nice defenses there by Herman.

Herman misses with a hook. Zabu ducked under it nicely.
Herman looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Zabu is fending him off so far but Herman persists. Nope, Zabu circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pee Wee Herman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Zabu wants to clinch.

Herman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Herman showed some decent athleticism there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Herman is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Herman throwing shots but Zabu is blocking nicely.
Herman not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Herman uses his free foot to push down on Zabu's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Zabu.

Poor strikes thrown by Herman there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The referee warns Zabu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Herman looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Zabu is wriggling around trying to escape.
Herman is landing with some decent strikes but Zabu is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The referee warns Zabu that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Herman landing strikes, looking to finish!
Herman moves to back control.
Herman gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Herman has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Zabu's body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Herman goes for an armbar but Zabu turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Zabu.

Herman is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Zabu rolls with it to try and escape but Herman cranks on the arm and Zabu is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
