Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devin Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ALtropos Lion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Lion misses with a looping right.
Lion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Kane takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lion manages to avoid it.

and Lion counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The fighters circling - Kane throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Kane stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Kane feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lion sprawling to the canvas! Lion rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kane finish him?!

Kane uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Lion has time to react.
Lion shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kane sprawls well. Kane wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lion gets slowly back to his feet.
Lion looks to score with a jab to the body but Kane is just out of range.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kane lands a big uppercut and Lion crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Lion looks OK. Kane waves Lion back to his feet!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lion closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Lion working over Kane with some ground and pound. Kane looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Kane pushes Lion off looking to stand but Lion dives back in and keeps control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lion seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kane does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lion looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kane is fending him off so far but Lion persists. Nope, Kane circles away and we're back to standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lion will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kane, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
