The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pat slips under a jab.
Pat misses with a shot to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Pat slips a straight right by Mauser.
Pat uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mauser has time to react.

It looks like Trent Mauser has been cut.

Pat moves into the clinch successfully.

With the fighters up against the cage, Pat throws an elbow but misses.

Project Pat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pat throws a right hand that Mauser ducks under and follows up with a left that Mauser also avoids with ease.

Mauser tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pat sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mauser somewhat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pat swings for the body but Mauser moves out of range.
Pat smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Mauser misses with a hook. Pat ducked under it nicely.
Mauser pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pat back to the cage. Mauser follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Mauser fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pat checks it well.
