Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Diablo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lorenzo Silva!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diablo tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Diablo pushes Silva up against the cage in a clinch.
Diablo misses with a body punch.
Diablo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Diablo fails to pull guard.
Silva prevents Diablo from breaking the clinch.
Diablo has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Silva gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Diablo.

Horrible takedown by Diablo or perhaps it was just good defense by Silva which made him look bad.

Carlos Diablo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diablo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Silva napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Diablo shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Diablo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Diablo takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Lorenzo Silva showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Let's hope that Silva has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diablo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diablo tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Diablo wants to control but Silva is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diablo wants to hold on but Silva pushes him away.

Diablo is looking to improve his position but Silva isn't that keen on the idea.

Lorenzo Silva is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
