And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daniel Omielanczuk!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omielanczuk tries to clinch but Khan is having none of it.
Omielanczuk tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Khan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Omielanczuk closes the distance but Khan moves to the side
and Khan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Omielanczuk staying out of range there.

Khan rushes Omielanczuk and presses him up against the cage.
Omielanczuk throws a punch but it's blocked by Khan.
Khan lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Omielanczuk throws a head punch that misses.
Omielanczuk tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Omielanczuk gets control of Khan's arms and successfully pulls guard. Omielanczuk will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Omielanczuk working for a triangle but Khan defends it easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Khan looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Omielanczuk has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Khan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Omielanczuk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Khan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Omielanczuk is tightening it up a little... Khan has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Khan reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Khan taps out! Nice BJJ there by Omielanczuk!

Daniel Omielanczuk decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
