Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Putten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Prudius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alexander Putten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Oleg Prudius!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putten shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Prudius as he avoids it easily.
Putten could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Prudius looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Putten!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Prudius cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Putten wants to control but Prudius is having none of it.
Prudius throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Putten because Prudius loaded up on that one.
Prudius lands with some strikes.
Prudius breaks from Putten's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Prudius scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Prudius fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Prudius avoids the attempt from Putten to control.
Putten in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Prudius lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Putten bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Prudius is looking to stand up but Putten isn't so interested in that idea.
Putten with a flurry of punches that miss.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Prudius looking to hit a scissor sweep but Putten is one step ahead there.
Putten won't allow Prudius to get back to his feet.
Putten preventing the sweep.
Putten postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Prudius can do anything to dispel that myth.
Prudius wants to stand and escape but Putten is having none of it.
Putten tries to stand but Prudius is controlling from the bottom.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Putten counters with a good, hard body kick but Prudius shrugs it off.
Putten is breathing heavily.
Prudius circles away from the clinch attempt.
Putten throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Oleg Prudius has been cut.
Putten throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Prudius has his takedown stuffed
and Putten counters with a low kick, right behind Prudius 's knee.
Putten fails with a takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Prudius has his takedown stuffed
and Putten counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Alexander Putten has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oleg Prudius.
Prudius fails with the takedown.
Prudius shoots in but Putten avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Prudius throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Putten's waist but Putten gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Prudius off to one side.
Prudius looks for a takedown but Putten sprawls well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Putten looks to land a combination. Prudius sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Putten drops Prudius with a left right combo! Putten follows him down to the ground into side control.


Prudius is rocked!
Prudius is trying to improve his position.
Prudius is still in real trouble! Can Putten finish him?
Putten has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Prudius gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Prudius seems to have recovered his senses.
Prudius slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Prudius really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Putten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Prudius tries to kick Putten off but Putten keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Putten wants to stand up but Prudius has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Putten trying to control the action but Prudius is working from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Putten decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Prudius shoots in for a double leg but Putten sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Putten shoots in but Prudius avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Prudius bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Prudius is working Putten over with some ground and pound from side control.
Putten takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Prudius stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Putten is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Prudius doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Putten counters with a three punch combo that has Prudius backing up. Prudius nods at Putten to acknowledge the strikes.


That has opened up Oleg Prudius's cut even more.
Prudius tries for a takedown but Putten sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Prudius feints and as Putten raises his hands in defense, Prudius changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Prudius is pushing down on Putten's leg trying to pass to half guard. Putten is fighting to maintain full guard but Prudius has managed to sneak the leg through.
Putten is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Prudius's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Prudius's back!

Putten has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Prudius is in real trouble here. Putten gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Prudius is tapping out! Putten wins by rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Alexander Putten!
